L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, Greenville, Texas, has been awarded a not-to-exceed $27,000,000 firm-fixed-price, undefinitized contract for the development, delivery and installation of one MC-55A flight simulator. Work will be performed in Greenville, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2023. This contract involves 100% Foreign Military Sales and is the result of a sole-source acquisition. Foreign Military Sales funds in the amount of $13,230,000 are being obligated at the time of award. The 645th Aeronautical Systems Group, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8620-22-F-4859).

L-3 Communications Integrated Systems (L-3/IS) brings your cockpit up to code. The L-3 Communications division’s core capabilities include modernizing cockpit avionics, designing and integrating special mission electronic warfare and intelligence-gathering systems (spy stuff), providing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for existing aircraft, and installing interiors for VIP aircraft. It also provides custom and contract modifications and painting. The division serves the US military and US government, as well as commercial aircraft owners. L-3/IS comprises several divisions, including ComCept, MAS, Mission Integration, Platform Integration, and Systems Field Support (L-3 SFS Vertex Aerospace).
