The U.S. Census Bureau in support of the Business Intelligence Supporting Service is seeking information on how Business Intelligence (BI) tools are leveraged to help aid in the selection of a new platform for the Enterprise Reporting Support System (ERSS). The goal is to determine which tool(s)/service(s) could potentially be implemented across the Census enterprise to track the progress, cost, and data quality for a variety of Census data collection operations. The BI tool/service should enable the following functionality at an absolute minimum: the creation and display of tabular reports, interactive dashboards, and data visualizations to aid in outlier detection, tailored automated emails, enforceable role-based permissions, and support other business intelligence features such as data extracts and creation of custom views. These core BI functionalities are detailed in more depth in Section 2.0 of the RFI statement.
