Lockheed Martin Space Awarded $254.7M Contract to provide maintenance and sustainment for two Terminal High Altitude Area Defense batteries for UAE

Lockheed Martin Space, Sunnyvale, California, is being awarded a sole-source, cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price definite contract under a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The total value of this contract is $254,708,912. Under this follow-on contract, the contractor will provide maintenance and sustainment for two Terminal High Altitude Area Defense batteries for UAE. The maintenance and sustainment scope of work includes providing logistics management, logistics product database, training, missile and ground repair and return, hardware/software development and sustainment, hardware in the loop, engineering services, missile field surveillance program, and country unique specialty engineering for FMS client. The work will be performed in Sunnyvale, California; Grande Prairie, Texas; Camden, Arkansas; Huntsville, Alabama; Anniston, Alabama; and Troy, Alabama. The performance period is from Jan. 15, 2021, through Jan. 14, 2026. One offer was solicited and one offer was received. UAE FMS funds in the amount of $254,708,912 will be used to fund this effort. Alberici-Mortenson JV Awarded $359.7M Contract for design-bid-build recapitalization of the dry dock at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia

Alberici-Mortenson JV, St. Louis, Missouri, is awarded a $359,738,706 fixed-price-award-fee modification to exercise the first and second options under previously awarded contract N69450-20-C-0016 for the design-bid-build recapitalization of the dry dock at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. The work to be performed provides for concrete repairs in various locations throughout the dry dock; overhauling and repairing the steel caisson; and upgrading power distribution, chilled water, and fire detection and alarm systems. The project will also repair corroded steel members of the dry dock superstructure, re-coat the entire superstructure and replace roof and wall panels. The project will remove one bridge crane and overhaul two other bridge cranes. The scope also includes rebuilding/replacing sluice gates and actuators, roller gate rails, flap valves and frames, and all piping. This project will also upgrade control systems and electronic components and upgrade the auxiliary seawater system. This award increases the total cumulative value of the contract to $554,465,051. Work will be performed in Kings Bay, Georgia, and is expected to be completed by October 2022. Fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $359,738,706 will be obligated at the time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast, Jacksonville, Florida, is the contracting activity.

This was a competitive acquisition with two responses received. This is a two-year base contract with one one-year option period and one two-year option period. Locations of performance are Virginia and North Carolina, with Jan. 7, 2023, ordering period end date. Using customers are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. The type of appropriation is fiscal 2021 through 2023 defense working capital funds. Eastern Airlines LLC Awarded $284.9M Firm Fix Price Contract

Eastern Airlines LLC, Wayne, Pennsylvania, has been awarded a firm-fixed-price contract (HTC711-21-D-C001) in the amount of $284,932,621. The contract provides door-to-door, time-definite, pick-up and delivery, transportation, timely and accurate shipment tracking, government third party payment system participation, customs clearance processing (if applicable), and shipment data reporting. This contract provides heavyweight delivery services for domestic and international shipments. Work will be performed internationally and domestically, with an expected completion date of Sept. 30, 2022. The initial contracts were awarded in April 2019. The estimated program value is for three and a half years. Ordering is decentralized and funding is provided by multiple government agencies. U.S. Transportation Command, Directorate of Acquisition, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is the contracting activity.
