U.S. Army Granted $428M Contract To General Dynamics Land Systems

General Dynamics Land Systems, Sterling Heights, Michigan, was awarded a $428,229,970 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the field level maintenance, field service representative support, contingency maintenance support, new equipment training and total package fielding for the family of Stryker vehicles.

Bids were solicited via the internet with two received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of July 31, 2025. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Detroit Arsenal, Michigan, is the contracting activity (W56HZV-20-D-0075).

Consortium Management Group Inc Awarded $98,567,402 For Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System Prototype Development

Consortium Management Group Inc., Washington, D.C., has been awarded a $98,567,402 other transaction agreement for resilient embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System prototype development. This agreement provides for rapid prototyping activity that includes development of detailed design prototypes, production representative prototypes, non-recurring engineering, contractor travel and the development of a technical data package. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C.; and Huntsville, Alabama, and is expected to be completed March 30, 2023.

This award is the result of a competitive acquisition and three offers were received. Fiscal 2020 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $30,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity (FA8576-20-9-0001).

Video Visitation System Contract Opportunity

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking information about video visitation systems which can assist the BOP in providing safe and secure visitation between incarcerated inmates and their families.  BOP previously issued an RFI in March 2020, however, that solicitation was focused on video visitation systems which could be used to facilitate visits with inmates in an institution’s Special Housing Unit (SHU) or other secure area.  The solicitation also expected that a corresponding unit would be placed in the institution’s front lobby area.
